Earlier this month, Ingersoll Rand captured the bronze award for the Next Generation R-Series compressors with variable-speed drive in the Compressed Air category of Plant Engineering magazine's 2016 Product of the Year program. Global Marketing Manager, TJ Stevens; Global Product Manager, Kyle Winchester and Global Marketing Manager, Jennifer Wilson accepted the award.
The annual program is a "celebration of all that is new and innovative in product development," according to the publication. The winners are chosen by the people who count the most – customers and industry professionals who buy and use the products.
"These awards are voted by subscribers – people who use and see the benefits of the products, not writers or a panel of judges," Stevens said. "The recognition is testimony to the usefulness and innovation of the R-Series."
More air, less energy, improved reliability
The contact-cooled rotary screw compressors deliver increased air flow output and reduce energy costs while increasing system reliability.
"Our entire team shares in this success," Winchester said. "Engineering, product management, marketing and sales, worldwide, all had a role in the excellent reception these models have enjoyed. They should all take pride in the product, the award and the overall launch."
